I Have Changed my Android phone's IMEI, But glo bis still not working. Possible cause / solution.

No doubt 70% of Android users in Nigeria who are addict to downloading and browsing have embraced the idea of changing their Android phone's IMEI
number to that of a BlackBerry phone so as to enjoy same cheap rate of data bundle subscription as a BlackBerry user would.

But, sometimes after changing the Android phone's IMEI, some users still find it difficult to browse or download with their precious Glo Bis. This normally happens when the user didn't follow the simple Tos(Terms of service) of Glo or the IMEI wasn't changed properly.

Possible Solution to Glo Bis not connecting after successful change of IMEI.

• APN not set up properly.

When using Glo Bis on your Android, you need to manually setup your Access Point Name (APN) to that of a BlackBerry phone and discard the APN that was installed by your Sim card.

To setup your APN.

1. Click Menu→Settings→more→Mobile network→Access point Name→Glo.

2. Now create a new APN by clicking the option right/left key depending on where yours is located and input the. Settings below.

Name: Glo
APN. : Blackberry.net
Leave other parameters blank and click back key to save settings.

3. Now select the new APN and wait for some minute if the H or E sign will appear.

• You didn't remove your battery for 40mind/1hour.

This normally happens to newbies on the Glo Bis on Android thang.

Immediately you send Comonth to 777 you get a reply telling you to remove your battery for 1hour so as your subscription will be processed and activated, some Peeps ignore this part thinking Glo Bis is same thing with Mtn or Airtel Bis where you get connected not less than 5mins of activation..
Well when using Glo, you got to remove your battery for 1hour or more so the Bis plan will be activated.
To confirm if it has been activated, just send STATUS to 777 ... If it has been activated, you should receive and SMS telling you "Dear customer, your Glo Bis have been activated call 333 bla bla bla for help"

•  Your IMEI wasn't changed

Some peeps just copy the IMEI they got, then rush to their mtk droid tools, mobile uncle or other mobile engineer software and send the AT+ command and then hurry and subscribe for the Glo Bis plan without confirming if the IMEI was changed properly.
Sometimes your IMEI doesn't change at one try, so you need to continuously confirm if your IMEI was actually tweaked after sending the command.

To confirm IMEI change , just dial or press *#06# on your phone.... You should see your two IMEI number (phone 1 and phone 2 ) check if its correct with the generated one.
